We’re currently undergoing recruitment for a Site Manager to join our client in the Aberystwyth area.
* Straight to permanent position
* 07:30 – 17:00 approx.
* Monday – Friday
* £250 per day – (Roughly £60,000 per annum)
Main roles and responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all on-site construction operations.
* Direct and coordinate the activities of construction crews and subcontractors.
* Track project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
* Always uphold strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Perform routine site inspections to verify adherence to building codes and project standards.
* Communicate project status updates to managers and key stakeholders.
* Oversee site logistics, including material deliveries and equipment storage.
* Address on-site challenges promptly and implement effective solutions.
* Keep thorough and accurate records, such as daily logs, reports, and safety documentation.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and regulatory bodies as necessary.
* Monitor quality standards and ensure all work meets the required specifications.
Skills and requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar supervisory role in the construction industry.
* Strong background in overseeing construction projects from groundworks to completion.
* Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and multiple trades on-site.
* Excellent knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and safety standards.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
* Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple site activities simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
* Full UK driving license.
* Willingness to travel between sites or work flexible hours when required.
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
