Oracle Data Migration Developer – Capgemini
Overview
Capgemini is expanding its Oracle Consulting Practice in the UK and seeks experienced Data Migration Consultants to support our growing implementation portfolio. The role covers all phases of data migration – from extraction and transformation to cutover – within Oracle Cloud projects. The position is hybrid, with work performed across company offices, client sites, and home.
Responsibilities
* Operate as a Senior Developer on complex Oracle Data Migration projects.
* Design and implement performant, scalable data mappings and transformations.
* Support key test cycles – SIT, UAT – and liaise with senior stakeholders.
* Contribute to migration planning and strategy, building extraction and transformation processes.
* Resolve defects and manage artefacts.
* Work with modern open‑source or third‑party solutions as required.
* Collaborate with functional experts and architects to deliver solutions that meet client needs.
Qualifications
* Experience with large‑scale data migration projects to Oracle Cloud.
* Hands‑on expertise with Oracle Cloud and Oracle EBS (Finance, Projects, HCM, Payroll) or related areas.
* Strong knowledge of Oracle E‑Business Suite data models and structures for extraction.
* Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL; experience with other Oracle integration technologies (Java, OAF, Workflow, forms, reports, BI) is beneficial.
* Familiarity with ETL tools, methodologies, and source‑code repositories (primarily git).
* Good communication skills and experience in distributed delivery (on‑shore / off‑shore).
* Interest in emerging Oracle technologies and cloud-based integrations.
* SC eligible (Security Check clearance required).
Required Skills & Experience
* Ability to analyse complex data problems and propose clear solutions.
* Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud or similar integration solutions preferred.
* Strong teamwork and client relationship building capabilities.
* Desire to continuously expand technical knowledge beyond current skillset.
Security Clearance
All candidates must obtain Security Check (SC) clearance to be appointed. Successful applicants must have resided continuously within the UK for the last 5 years and meet all eligibility criteria.
