Here at Long-Term Teachers we are working with a fabulous Primary School in the BS23 area of Weston-Super-Mare who are looking for Learning Mentors to join their team from January.
This Primary School is a 2 form entry school who are committed to creating an environment where every employee and pupil can flourish. This school is committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum and giving our pupils the necessary skills to develop for their future.
Your New Role
This Learning Mentor position is an opportunity for flexible working to fit around your availability.
You will be expected to support a number of students across the school with more complex social, emotional and behavioural needs to regulate their emotions and model appropriate interactions.
You will be expected to:
* Have strong positive behaviour management strategies.
* Ability to use your own initiative and to be flexible.
* Have experience in supporting children to overcome barriers to learning and develop social and emotional skills.
* Be self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable with a flexible approach to work.
* Work collaboratively with staff and parents to provide tailored support for children’s needs.
Working with Long-term Teachers:
We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
