Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused HR Administrator to join our team in Wakefield. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in HR and gain real exposure to recruitment, employee relations and HR operations. You will be the go-to support for the HR team, keeping processes running smoothly and ensuring employees receive an efficient HR service.

Work Location: NewCold Wakefield, Headways, Stanley, WF3 4FE (fully onsite role).

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (08:30 - 16:30).

Salary: £26,000.00 to £28, depending on experience).

What You'll Be Doing:

* Coordinating recruitment administration using Cornerstone and NewCold Academy, including right-to-work checks and new starter details.
* Posting vacancies, liaising with hiring managers and supporting onboarding tasks.
* Keeping HR, payroll and time and attendance systems accurate and up to date.
* Issuing invitation letters and providing note-taking support at employee relations meetings.
* Being the first point of contact for HR queries and escalating appropriately.
* Managing employment and financial reference requests.
* Processing probation reviews, leaver administration and contractual changes.
* Coordinating HR communications using mail merge and internal systems.
* Ensuring all employee data and records meet GDPR requirements.
* Running weekly and monthly HR data reports.
* Monitoring the HR inbox and ensuring responses meet service levels.
* Supporting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives such as Grocery Aid and Macmillan Coffee Morning.
* Updating internal communication channels with HR updates and employee information.
* Getting involved in wider HR projects and continuous improvement tasks.

What We're Looking For:

* CIPD Level 3 (qualified or above).
* 5 GCSEs grade A–C or equivalent.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning HR systems.
* Able to manage confidential information with professionalism.
