Site Manager (Temp:to:Perm)
Location: North East England (Specific site locations will vary)
Contract: Temporary (3:6 months) leading to Permanent
Salary/Rate: GBP270:GBP300 per day CIS (dependent on experience and qualifications)
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Site Manager to join us on a temp:to:perm basis. This role is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities and quickly secure a long:term career. You must have experience in civils engineering and housing civils.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Management: Oversee all site activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
* Health and Safety: Maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, conducting regular safety briefings and risk assessments.
* Team Leadership: Manage and motivate site staff, subcontractors, and trade teams.
* Programme Delivery: Drive the project programme, effectively managing resources and resolving any on:site issues to meet deadlines.
* Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure a high standard of finish.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, surveyors, and other key stakeholders.
What Were Looking For
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on relevant construction projects (e.g., civils, residential, industrial).
* Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
* Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
* Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and relevant building regulations.
