Job Title: Quality Manager
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week – Mon to Thu 8am to 5pm (lunch 1pm to 1.30pm daily). Friday 8am to 1pm
Company Overview:
Our client are a well-established precision engineering company based in Corsham, Wiltshire who specialises in high-quality subcontract machining solutions for various industries such as aerospace.
Job Overview
* Ensure all work leaves the company meets the required customer requirements e.g. to AS9100, ISO9001 etc.
* Maintaining our AS9100 and ISO 9001 approval through the successful management of the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
* Assuring compliance with regulatory and company standards through the development and implementation of an internal audit programme and evaluation of working practices.
* Ownership of all company QMS documentation, ensuring documents are reviewed at the required frequency, maintained to the required standard, with any updates or improvements made as necessary.
* Ownership and management of all Quality non-conformances identified during internal and external audits, customer complaints and receipt of non-conforming products.
* Actively seek out, promote, and encourage all opportunities for continuous improvement at the company, engaging with the company’s teams to share best practice and audit support where necessary
* Perform the role of primary customer Interface for all quality related issues
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Background as a Quality Manager in the Aerospace industry working at AS9100 & ISO9001 levels
* Solid expertise in problem solving e.g. Lean Six Sigma and other quality techniques required to identify route causes and engage sustainable solutions to issues presented.
* Proven experience leading aerospace/engineering compliance audits
* A detailed understanding of Quality Assurance, external standards, and internal auditing at AS9100, ISO9001 and other standards
* Background in machining/ production environment would be beneficial
