PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £23,000 - £25,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused individual to join our Onboarding Team within the BBC’s HR Service Centre. This team plays a vital role in welcoming new colleagues and ensuring a smooth, engaging start to their BBC journey.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Deliver a high-quality onboarding service to new starters across the BBC
Manage pre-employment checks, including DBS checks, right to work documentation, and contract preparation
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with BBC policies and legal requirements
Communicate clearly and empathetically with new joiners, hiring managers, and internal teams
Use People systems (e.g. SAP) to input and track onboarding data with precision
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Experience in HR administration, onboarding, or a similar support role
Excellent attention to detail and experience in managing high volumes of data
Experience using HR systems and digital tools
Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively
A team player who enjoys working collaboratively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Experience with SAP or similar HR systems
- Understanding of onboarding best practices and compliance requirements
