Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR department. This role is crucial in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business goals, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
The main responsibilities & tasks within this role would include:
1. Manage the safer recruitment process, ensuring all relevant checks are completed for new employees including DBS, reference check etc
2. Create and issue job specifications, offers of employment and contracts of employment across all businesses.
3. Schedule interviews, liaise with the recruiting manager and be part of the interview process
4. Work closely with managers across the business, assisting them to understand and implement policies and procedures and employment legislation, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory legislation and HR best practices.
5. Keep the HR portal up to date with new and existing staff details in line with the GDPR legislation.
6. Support development meetings across the businesses, to identify gaps and training needs.
