You'll need to be passionateabout providing high quality meals using fresh ingredients from localsuppliers.
A current NVQ Level 2 in professional cookery or equivalentis essential.
The supervision and co-ordination of staff employed inthe kitchen.
Responsible for clerical duties connected with:1- Food 2- Equipment 3- Training4- Cleaning 5- Completion of unit paperwork to comply with Health and safetystandards/requirements.
Facilitate training of new staff in the use of equipment,kitchen techniques and relevant aspects of health and safety in the kitchenenvironment.
Responsible for the receipt and storage of all deliveriesfor the kitchen.
The provision of catering for special functions such asPTA events, theme days etc. To report equipment repairs and replacements followingthe correct procedures, for both heavy and light equipment.
Toensure that the kitchen and dining areas are maintained to a clean/hygienic andsafe condition.
