School HR Administrator Location: South East London Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute lunch break) Start Date: 17/11/2025 Contract: Long-term Requirement: Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service) About the Role We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join our school's HR team. This role is key in supporting the department with day-to-day administrative tasks, helping to reduce the current backlog of work, and ensuring the smooth running of HR operations. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Selection Support: Assist with the full recruitment process - scheduling interviews, preparing documentation, and supporting pre-employment and vetting checks. HR Records Management: Maintain and update employee records on the HR system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDPR. Personnel Files: Create and manage files for new starters and leavers, ensuring all HR paperwork (both physical and digital) is completed, filed, and archived correctly. Agency & Volunteer Administration: Process vetting forms, safeguarding letters, and placement documentation for agency staff and volunteers. Payroll Administration: Provide monthly payroll support by checking, scanning, and updating necessary paperwork and records. General HR Support: Respond to HR queries, manage departmental inboxes, and provide administrative assistance to the HR team with ad hoc tasks as required.
