About You
Lynn Grove Academy are seeking a caring and resilient Learning Mentor who is committed to supporting secondary‑aged pupils to re‑engage with learning and make meaningful progress. You will have good subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Science, and the ability to adapt your approach to meet individual needs through one‑to‑one and small‑group support.
You are confident building positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may be anxious, disengaged or facing barriers to attendance, and you communicate effectively with teaching and pastoral staff to support successful reintegration. Organised, patient, and empathetic, you share our commitment to inclusive practice and helping every pupil feel supported, valued and able to succeed.
Ideal Candidate
* GCSE English and Maths, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
* Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or mentoring capacity
* Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching approaches to individual needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
