The Opportunity
We’re working with a highly regarded main contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a brand new school build in Cardiff. The Role
As Site Manager, you’ll report to the Lead Project Manager or Contracts Manager and take a hands-on role in managing build activities on site. You’ll ensure quality and safety standards are met while maintaining momentum across programme targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage daily site operations for your assigned work packages
2. Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with internal teams
3. Drive programme performance and ensure timely delivery
4. Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards
5. Work closely with the senior team to manage logistics, progress, and reporting
About You
We’re looking for candidates who:
6. Have strong experience delivering new build projects as a Site Manager – ideally including education or public sector schemes
7. Hold valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
8. Are confident managing subcontractors and leading on-site teams
9. Demonstrate a proactive, organised, and quality-driven approach
10. Are based locally to Cardiff or able to commute reliably
