Job Type: Coffee Lounge Cook
Job Location: Marchington, Uttoxeter
Kenect Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Coffee Lounge Cook to work for our long-standing client based in Marchington, Uttoxeter. This role will invlove all aspects of Kitchen work such as prepping, cooking, plating, serving, maintaining high standards of hygiene and completing relevant paperwork where needed.
Shifts: Monday to Friday – 08:30am to 17:00pm
Pay rate: and Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and cooking food for staff and customers
2. Maintaining excellent levels of food hygiene and health safety within the workplace.
3. Ensuring all equipment is regularly maintained and kept clean.
4. Monitoring stock levels and placing orders
5. Monitoring portion and waste control closely
6. Know your menu – confidently check and challenge all foods before serving any meal to all customers.
7. Ensure that the coffee lounge kitchen stays clean, safe, and adheres to legal restrictions
8. Taking Orders and handling card payments
9. Serving food and beverages to customers and staff
10. Maintaining a clean and sanitized working environment, clearing tables, and washing dishes
11. Assisting with food preparation
12. Providing excellent customer service
13. Following health and safety guidelines
Skills & Experience:
14. Experience working in cafes, quick service restaurants, food service, pubs or similar.
15. The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, including managing a workload during busy periods.
16. Warm and friendly personality with a passion for providing customers with great food and friendly service.
17. Efficient at multitasking as well as having good organisation and time keeping skills.
18. Keep accurate records and complete reports including but not limited to, fridge temperatures, cooking temperatures, hot holding temperatures, cooling records, cleaning records, and delivery records.
19. Level 3 Food & Hygiene is advantageous
