Position: Project Support Officer
Location: Belfast
Duration: Temporary
Pay Rate: £18.26 per hour
Hours of work: 37 hours per week
The postholder will report to the Programme Coordinator and be responsible for the provision of an effective support service to facilitate delivery of the Enterprise Support Service (ESS).
Duties will include:
1. Support the team to provide an effective support service to facilitate the delivery of the Enterprise Support Service (ESS) in line with funder requirements and business needs.
2. Support the programme team in undertaking the stakeholder engagement activities with key partner organisations including councils, government departments and agencies and educational institutions.
3. Support the programme team in effectively servicing the critical governance and management structures to include the Programme Coordination Group and the Programme Oversight Group.
4. Assist in the development, coordination, and delivery of allocated projects or
initiatives, including programming own workload to meet priorities and deadlines.
5. Undertake relevant research on economic issues to support the future development of the service and to support the work of the Programme Team and the relevant governance structures.
6. Collate information to support the effective working of council committees and Working Groups, as and when required, under the direction of the appropriate manager.
7. Effectively manage administrative duties, programme and project governance arrangements including updating all relevant systems and processes.
8. Assist in the coordination of and provide secretariat support for relevant meetings and forums.
9. Develop effective networks to ensure effective communication between partner organisations, government departments, council committees, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
10. Attend regional meetings on behalf of the Programme Coordinator as required. Updating line management on discussions, outcomes and any actions required by the team.
Essential Criteria:
Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of applications:
have a third level qualification in a relevant subject such as Business Studies, Business Management, Public Administration, or equivalent qualification and be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples on the application form, at least one years relevant experience in each of the following areas:

be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples on the application form, at least two years� relevant experience in each of the following areas:
(a) the coordination, management, and implementation of strategic projects to ensure effective delivery and compliance with agreed objectives;
(b) supporting stakeholder engagement activity with internal and external partners, building consensus to progress priority activities; and
(c) undertaking performance management and reporting on strategic projects and programmes.
