I’m partnering with a fantastic client in Staffordshire who are going through a huge technology transformation and growing their teams across the board. They’re looking for a Back-End Software Engineer who’s eager to develop, grow, and make a real impact in a modernising environment.
This is a brilliant opportunity if you’ve got some commercial experience under your belt (2+ years), and you want to push your skills further with structured training and exposure to new technologies.
What you’ll be doing:
* Working as part of an ambitious development team to deliver software solutions that are at the heart of the client’s business transformation.
* Designing and developing back-end services and applications, with the chance to influence technical decisions.
* Developing desktop applications (your experience here will be invaluable).
* Collaborating across the team on microservices, integration, and future-proofing systems.
Tech environment (not all essential!):
* C# / .NET- essential
* SQL Server- essential
* Desktop experience (huge plus, particularly with WPF)
* Exposure/interest in Kafka, event-driven development, and microservices
* Desire to learn new programming languages and frameworks

What we’re looking for:
* 1+ years’ experience in software development (commercial).
* Strong back-end skills with C#/.NET.
* Solid understanding of SQL.
* Desire and capability to learn new languages and tools.
* Bonus points if you’ve worked with WPF, microservices, or distributed platforms.
