Your new role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will manage the outsourced payroll contract.
You will be responsible for managing the payroll of 1,000 weekly and monthly staff across 3 companies.
You should have up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and be able to assist the wider finance team on all payroll-related matters.
You will be the key contact with the payroll provider and work to improve payroll processing and reporting.
Manage all payroll-related services internally, ensuring effective controls and policies are in place and functioning well.
Handle all aspects of payroll financial control, including month-end reconciliations, payroll reports, and other projects as they arise.
Stay informed of legislative changes and liaise with external agencies such as pension providers, auditors, and HMRC.
What you'll need to succeed
* Educated to GCSE level
* 2 A levels or 5 years of payroll experience
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a large payroll function with computerized payroll systems
* Working knowledge of UK PAYE
* Proficient in MS Office
* CIPP qualification (advantage)
* SAGE payroll qualification and SAGE 50 payroll experience (beneficial)
