The Role - Learning Mentor
We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Learning Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in Islington. This full-time, term-time role is based in a Year 2 class, supporting children who may need extra help with focus, confidence, and behaviour.
As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider pastoral team to support pupils both in and out of class. You will help create a positive learning environment, deliver targeted interventions, and act as a role model to pupils who need additional encouragement and guidance.
This role would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role, or with a strong background in working with children with social, emotional, or behavioural needs.

The school was rated Good by Ofsted and is known for its warm and inclusive ethos. You’ll be working as part of a very supportive team, including a fantastic Senior Teaching & Learning (STL) lead and a lovely, approachable SENCO who ensures staff are well-supported.
