Role overview

Location: Newcastle - NE6 2YL

Salary: £40,000pa + OT

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Contract type: Permanent full-time

Role Overview:

To plan, manage and monitor and coordinate health and safety in the construction phase of EMCOR UK project implementation.

What you'll do:
1. Liaising with the customer or their representatives.
2. Liaising with the Principal Designers.
3. Preparation of Construction Phase Plans.
4. Organising contractors during implementation ensuring compliance to project programme.
5. Providing site induction and start up meetings.
6. Ensuring site is maintained to prevent unauthorised access and suitable welfare is available for use.
7. Consult with work force on matters of Health Safety.
8. To support all aspects of project implementation through all phases of implementation.
9. To assist in the supply of all supporting installation and commissioning documentation upon completion of works.
10. Identify and feedback continues improvements, innovations or ways in which the team could operate more efficiently.
11. Successfully manage the delivery of installations using recognised installation methods and techniques used in the industry.
12. Conform to safety rules and apply good engineering and safety practices.
13. Undertake company standard internal training workshops.
14. Willing to work in secure and sensitive environment.
15. Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis

About the role

Who you'll be:
16. Demonstrate a suitable amount of experience working in the Built Environment with a proven track record in planning, managing, and monitoring construction work.
17. Demonstrate an exceptional level of awareness and understanding in construction environment, safety and health regulations and legislation.
18. Driven and enthusiastic self-starter who uses initiative to achieve results.
19. Polite and able to deal with customers, suppliers, and colleagues as and when required
Other Factors:
20. Construction/Build Environment Qualification such as NVQ Level 6, ONC, HNC, HND OR Degree Level aligned to their discipline/specialism.
21. Hold an appropriate industry recognised safety scheme, e.g., CSCS Managers card, CCNSG Safety Passport card or suitable equivalent
22. Completed the Site Managers/Supervisors Safety Training Scheme. (SMSTS, SSSTS.)
23. Be able to communicate effectively and have flexible approach to work patterns
24. Be mobile with full UK Driving License.
