About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee multiple utility infrastructure sites across the UK. You will be responsible for managing the safe, efficient, and quality delivery of on-site works — including substation energisation, civils, cabling, lighting installation, and authorising DNO access to substations (SAP involvement).
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple live utility construction sites simultaneously across different regions.
* Oversee and coordinate on-site activities such as:
* Ensure health & safety, compliance, and site protocols are rigorously followed.
* Handle authorisation processes with DNOs, including SAP requirements.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.
* Provide progress reports and flag risks or delays to senior management.
* Supervise site teams and ensure all works are delivered to required standards.
Requirements:
* Proven experience managing utility or infrastructure sites (power, civils, or ICP environments preferred).
* Must hold SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
* Must hold NRSWA (New Roads & Street Works Act) certification.
* Strong understanding of substation operations and electrical/civils site activities.
* Full UK driving licence & flexibility to travel nationwide.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Travel & expenses fully covered.
* Remote working when not on-site.
