Site Manager (Heritage) - Essex
GVR Solutions are currently working with a long-standing and well-established client who specialise in Heritage projects across London and East Anglia. They are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team.
As a Site Manager, you will be heavily involved in heritage projects; therefore, having a genuine passion for English architecture is highly important.
Responsibilities of the Site Manager
1. Oversee the day-to-day running of the site
2. Control and implement health and safety on site
3. Manage quality control and progressive handovers of installation
4. Co-ordinate site activities in line with programme sequence
5. Schedule materials and deliveries in adequate time
6. Attend progress meetings
7. Oversee projects from start through to completion, ensuring works are completed on time
8. Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation
9. Provide contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally
Requirements to be a Site Manager
1. At least 5 years’ experience in a site management role
2. Experience working within the heritage sector
3. Ability to work to programmes and deadlines
4. Great attention to detail
5. CSCS card holder
6. SMSTS card holder
7. Demonstrate negotiation and problem-solving skills
8. Excellent verbal communication skills
