We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join our team, preparing freshly made meals for residents in our care home. Your cooking skills will make a meaningful difference by providing nourishing, well-balanced, and thoughtfully prepared food.
You will plan and prepare a variety of meals and snacks, catering to different dietary needs and preferences. We promote home-style cooking with fresh ingredients and encourage service users to participate in food preparation when possible. Additionally, you will be responsible for ordering supplies, managing food stocks, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen in accordance with health and hygiene standards.
Ideal candidates will have previous catering experience and ideally possess a Food Hygiene Certificate. If not, we will support you in obtaining one. Key qualities include being organized, dependable, and proud of your work. Good communication skills and a friendly approach are essential, as you will work closely with our care team. Respect for CrossReach’s Christian ethos is also required.
In return, we offer a supportive environment where your contributions are valued daily. Benefits include training and development opportunities, a pension scheme, and an employee assistance program, all within a service committed to putting people first.
