Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to lead and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards. The successful candidate will oversee internal and external audits, ensure adherence to industry and customer-specific quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other applicable aerospace standards.
* Lead internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits, ensuring all non-conformities are resolved promptly.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
* Develop, review, and implement quality policies, procedures, and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements in the aerospace sector.
* Report quality performance metrics and initiate continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
* Oversee inspection processes, ensuring that incoming, in-process, and final inspections are performed effectively.
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality is embedded at every stage of the manufacturing process.
* Liaise with aerospace clients on quality-related matters and lead quality review meetings.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in a Quality Management role within aerospace manufacturing (minimum 5 years).
* Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
* Demonstrable experience managing audits, including third-party and customer audits.
* Hands-on experience managing or implementing a QMS.
Desirable:
* Experience working with Special Processes in the aerospace industry.
* Degree or HND in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
* Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience or certification.
