Role: VisionPLus Developer
We’re looking for a highly skilled and adaptable VisonPlus Developer. The Consultant Specialist will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of complex mainframe-based banking applications. This role requires deep technical expertise in COBOL, CICS, and VisionPLUS, along with strong stakeholder management and mentoring capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, code, test, debug, and document COBOL programs in a CICS/VSAM/JCL environment.
2. Translate business requirements (BRDs) into MVPs and user stories.
3. Develop and execute custom application features and functions based on design specifications.
4. Create high-level designs and detailed estimates for small to medium-sized projects.
5. Review code, design, and unit test results to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
6. Support production deployments and post-implementation activities.
7. Participate in and lead crisis calls for production incidents.
8. Identify opportunities for system performance improvements.
9. Mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability building.
10. Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication.
Skills & Experience
11. 10+ years of experience in development and maintenance of complex banking applications, particularly in credit card processing.
12. Strong hands-on experience with VisionPLUS and its modules (e.g., CMS, FAS, TRAMS, LTS, ASM, VMX, WINGSFM).
13. Proficiency in COBOL and CICS programming.
14. Familiarity with mainframe tools such as Endevor, Changeman, and batch scheduling.
15. Experience in designing and developing medium to high complexity solutions.
16. Solid understanding of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
17. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
