HR Officer
Based onsite Wednesbury 8am-4:30pm
Manufacturing Client
Responsible for applying HR standards and processes, advising management on accelerating the deployment and development of people throughout the employee lifecycle. Supports day-to-day business operations and contributes to achieving business objectives by adhering to employment legislation, policies, procedures, and internal frameworks such as the business plan and department standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Policy Implementation: Contribute to and support HR policies aligned with strategic management direction. Monitor compliance and assist the HR Manager in translating and communicating policies throughout the business.
* Advising: Formulate HR solutions in response to requests from management or proactively with functional managers. Provide advice to enable effective decision-making and support employee relations and case management.
* People Development: Assist in designing and implementing development policies that align with strategic performance goals. Support employee growth, career progression, and succession planning initiatives.
* Recruitment: Assess current and future personnel needs to support mid-to-long-term workforce planning. Contribute to recruitment activities, succession planning, exit interviews, and retention strategies.
* Projects: Participate in and lead HR projects aimed at improving systems and procedures. Promote best practices and translate improvement opportunities into actionable project plans.
* Reporting: Provide accurate HR reports with relevant business indicators. Ensure timely preparation of data, analyze trends, and deliver insights to inform management decisions.
* Administration: Manage and improve HR administrative systems and processes in compliance with GDPR. Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity within departmental standards.
Skills & Attributes
• Fully CIPD qualified
• At least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
• Organisation and job design
• Negotiation and influencing skills
• HR systems and procedures
• Analytical, writing, and reporting skills
• Service-oriented mindset, with strong relationship and networking abilities
• 26 days holiday (minimum – increasing with length of service) plus 8 statutory holidays
