Quality Manager - (Automotive & Off-Highway Sectors)

This long standing and successful business is a leading manufacturer of precision metal components supplying some of the world's most respected names in the automotive and off-highway sectors. With a reputation built on engineering excellence and continuous improvement, they are now seeking a Quality Manager to lead their established team and drive standards across the business.
The Role
As Quality Manager, you will take full responsibility for the quality function, leading an experienced team of dedicated quality professionals. You'll shape and deliver the quality strategy, ensuring systems, processes, and people align to meet the demanding requirements of Tier 1 and OEM customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing the quality team to ensure high performance and engagement.
Maintaining and improving the QMS (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949) and ensuring compliance across all manufacturing operations.
Working closely with production, engineering, and customers to drive root cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Overseeing customer and supplier quality performance, audits, and corrective actions.
Acting as the primary point of contact for all quality matters, both internally and externally.
The Person
You will be an experienced quality professional with a strong background in manufacturing engineering and ideally a track record of success in a Tier 1 or OEM automotive or off-highway environment. A confident communicator and natural leader, you combine technical expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
Experience and skills required:
Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing quality function.
Strong working knowledge of TS / IATF 16949, ISO9001, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and advanced problem-solving tools.
Background in metals, machining, or fabricated components would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
