The Role
As a Senior Data Architect, you will architect and operationalise advanced data, analytics and ML platforms across multi‑cloud environments. You will lead data architecture initiatives on Snowflake, Databricks and cloud‑native services, ensuring scalability, interoperability, security and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with Data Science, ML Engineering and Enterprise Data teams to deliver high‑quality, governed and reusable data products for a wide range of business and regulatory needs.
Your responsibilities:
* Architect and govern end‑to‑end data platforms supporting Data Science and ML lifecycles (ingestion, feature engineering, training, inference, monitoring).
* Design and manage multi‑cloud data estates across AWS, Azure and/or GCP, ensuring scalability, resilience and cost efficiency.
* Define architecture patterns and best practices for Snowflake (analytics, secure sharing) and Databricks (processing, ML workloads).
* Establish workload separation and integration patterns across Snowflake, Databricks and cloud storage.
* Lead architecture from design to production, ensuring performance, observability and operational readiness.
* Enable production‑grade ML through robust pipelines, feature stores, dataset versioning and training‑inference consistency.
* Define standards for CI/CD, DataOps and MLOps, including automated testing and monitoring.
* Design secure and governed architectures aligned with enterprise policies and regulatory requirements (including BFSI).
* Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers and business stakeholders to deliver reusable and reliable data products.
* Provide architectural leadership, technical mentorship and best‑practice guidance.
Your Profile
Essential skills, knowledge and experience
* Proven experience delivering enterprise Data Science and ML platforms into production.
* Strong hands‑on expertise in Snowflake and Databricks.
* Deep understanding of data architecture patterns for analytics, ML and AI.
* Strong data modelling skills for analytical and ML workloads.
* Hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP (at least one in depth).
* Expertise with Spark, SQL and lakehouse architectures.
* Experience with orchestration and pipeline tools (Airflow, ADF, Dagster, Prefect).
* Experience with cloud‑storage platforms such as ADLS, S3 or GCS.
* Understanding of MLOps‑compatible data architectures.
* Experience with dataset and feature‑versioning, data quality management and drift/observability frameworks.
* Exposure to vector databases, embeddings or ML metadata systems.
* Experience in Banking, Financial Services or Insurance, with exposure to risk, AML, fraud, credit or regulatory reporting.
* Experience designing secure, compliant data and ML architectures in regulated environments.
