Bancs Ltd is looking for a strong, hands on Senior Site Manager who takes real pride in running organised, efficient, and high performing sites. This role is for someone who leads from the front, sets clear standards, and drives teams to deliver, not someone who takes a back seat.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the day to day running of projects while overseeing and supporting Site Supervisors across multiple work areas. You will be expected to bring structure, accountability, and consistency to site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.
Leadership is absolutely key in this role.
We are not looking for someone half hearted. We want a confident, decisive leader who can take control of site teams, hold people accountable, and maintain momentum across all areas of the job. You will set the tone on site, driving performance, addressing issues head on, and making sure standards do not drop.
A major part of the role will be managing and developing Site Supervisors, making sure they are organised, proactive, and delivering what is expected of them. If something is not right, you will deal with it early and directly.
You will also act as the link between site teams and senior management, providing clear updates, flagging risks, and ensuring projects stay on track. Managing subcontractors, maintaining site records, and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations will all form part of your responsibilities.
What we are looking for
* Strong, proven leadership, someone who takes control and leads from the front
* Experience managing Site Supervisors or multiple work areas
* No nonsense approach to performance, standards, and accountability
* Solid understanding of construction processes and sequencing
* Proactive mindset, you solve problems and keep things moving
* High standards for safety, quality, and delivery
What you will get
* Competitive salary with clear progression opportunities
* Company vehicle
* 28 days holiday including bank holidays, with potential to increase
* Performance related bonuses based on project delivery
* Support for training, tickets, and ongoing professional development
* Opportunity to grow within the business as we expand
* Strong pipeline of secured work, providing job stability
* A direct and supportive management structure with clear communication
£42,000 – £47,000 per year (depending on experience)
