Job Summary
Part‑time HR Manager (Fixed‑Term Contract, up to 12 months) based in London (Hybrid)/Stratford.

Responsibilities
* Provide expert, timely and legally compliant HR advice to managers on employee relations, including absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance and capability matters.
* Own and manage ER casework, ensuring risk assessment, documentation and escalation to the Head of HR.
* Coach managers to build confidence and capability in people management and enforce consistent policy application.
* Plan, manage and report on investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring accurate record keeping.
* Monitor ER trends, identify themes and recommend proactive interventions.
* Lead development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures, including manager guidance notes and FAQs.
* Advise on legislative changes and ensure alignment with employment law and best practice.
* Design and deliver learning events (lunch‑and‑learns, workshops) for managers and senior leaders.
* Lead or contribute to People Plan workstreams, coordinating stakeholder engagement, tracking progress and reporting to the Head of HR.
* Analyse HR data, produce regular and ad‑hoc reports to inform decision‑making, and ensure data accuracy and integrity in HR systems.
* Collaborate with the HR Officer on recruitment, payroll and HR administration to provide a seamless HR service.
* Act as escalation point for complex queries arising from transactional HR activities and support the development of the HR Officer.
Qualifications
* CIPD qualified – minimum Level 3 (Foundation Certificate or equivalent).
* Evidence of continuing professional development in HR.
* Experience working as an HR generalist or advisory role.
* Proven capability in managing ER casework to resolution.
* Experience drafting and reviewing HR policies and supporting documentation.
* Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong written and verbal communication; ability to deliver clear, well‑structured documents.
* Analytical mindset, ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
* Experience in data‑driven HR roles and continuous improvement culture.
* For a more strategic focus – experience delivering HR projects (policy review, organisational change) and familiarity with DEI frameworks.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards) desirable.

Employment Details
Contract type: Fixed‑term (12 months) part‑time (variable hours – salary pro‑rata).
Location: 2 Redman Place, London – hybrid workplace with office attendance.
Salary: £46,750 to £54,915 per year, payable pro‑rata for part‑time hours.
Working pattern: Flexible working, office hours at 2 Redman Place.
UK professional registration required.
