Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Care Home Cook. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Help create the care home menus involving residents.
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
* Handle food items safely and effectively, minimising waste and maximising quality.
* Support the serving staff by preparing plates for service and assisting with presentation.
* Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
Experience
* Previous kitchen experience is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
* Experience of working in a care home kitchen desired but not essential.
* Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is required.
* Experience in meal preparation techniques and serving methods will be advantageous.

Week 1: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Week 2: Tuesday, Friday
Start: 07:30 Finish: 17:30
30 hours per week.

Pay: £14.10 per hour
