At Ashbourne Day Nurseries, we believe that every child deserves to grow and thrive in a caring, fun, and inspiring environment. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HR Administrator to join our team and help us create those wonderful experiences for our little learners.
A Bit About Us
Ashbourne Day Nurseries was founded in 2008 by parents, for parents, with our first nursery in Oxley Park, Milton Keynes. Since then, we've grown into a family of nurseries, each offering something unique, from purpose-built spaces to settings on farms and in beautiful listed buildings.
While we are proud of our growth, we're equally committed to maintaining a friendly, warm atmosphere where children, parents, and staff feel like part of the Ashbourne family. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and always put children at the heart of everything we do.
Your Role
Working in our People Team, you will support a wide range of HR activities to support the enhancement of the employee experience at every stage of the employment life cycle. In this role, you will be key to ensuring seamless HR processes, from recruitment and onboarding to ongoing employee administration. The role will be focused on HR system administration and compliance as a priority.
What You'll Be Doing
* Work with the operational teams to update all employee records on the HRIS system. Accurate records will need to be uploaded and maintained in our HRIS (BrightHR) and our employee file system.
* Assist with HR reporting, metrics, and data for dashboards and KPIs.
* Manage HR administration including contract changes, promotions, leave, and leavers.
* Support recruitment coordination and own the new starter onboarding process, including offer letters, contracts and record creation on the HR system.
* Liaise with our finance team to ensure timely and accurate data is shared for payroll.
* Handle payroll queries with sensitivity.
* Manage the HR mailbox professionally and ensure queries are directed appropriately.
About You
We are looking for candidates with proven administration experience in a busy environment, ideally within a multisite organisation. Experience with HRIS and developing its systems for efficiency is required. You should demonstrate strong attention to detail, follow policies and procedures, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective organisation, flexibility, and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and SLAs are essential.
The ideal candidate will be professional, approachable, and discreet when handling confidential information, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive working relationships. You should proactively support employees, managers, and HR colleagues, taking ownership of processes and seeking continuous improvement. A solid understanding of HR, ambition to grow your HR knowledge, and a CIPD qualification (or progress towards one) are advantageous.
What We Offer
* A competitive salary package
* A supportive and friendly work environment where you can really make a difference
* A chance to be part of a team that values creativity, fun, and individuality
