About the role
We are looking to recruit a Cook in Charge to join our team at Yr Hafod Residential CareHome, Cardigan, on a permanent, full-time basis.
The role includes:
1. Preparation and service of food to clients
2. Stock control and ordering of supplies (provision and cleaning materials)
3. Cleanliness of all areas, equipment and utensils.
4. Control and provisions costs
5. Provision of menus for clients
6. Provision of special diets as required
7. Liaison with clients regarding the service
On a day to day basis you will:
8. Ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
9. Ensuring observance of EEC standards on Manual Handling
10. General Health and Safety of Kitchen including hazardous equipment
11. Security of premise
12. Induction and ongoing training of staff and identification of formal training needs
13. Arranging rota cover
14. Supervision and monitoring of work practice.
15. Day-to-day discipline and referring ongoing concerns to Catering Manager

16. Experience/knowledge of working within a catering environment;
