Site Manager - Specialist Contractor (West Sussex) Rate: £250 per day (Freelance / Long-Term) Location: West Sussex Start: March 2026 Atkinson Baker Associates are currently recruiting a Site Manager on behalf of a market-leading Specialist Contractor with a 50-year heritage in the construction industry. Our client is a highly respected name in the South East, known for delivering high-quality interior fit-out, drylining, and façade packages for Tier 1 Main Contractors and major residential developers. With a turnover exceeding £20m and a reputation built on quality and repeat business, they offer stability and professional site environments. The Role We are looking for a Site Manager to lead operations on a key project in the West Sussex region. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of specialist packages (Drylining, SFS, Screeding, and Fire Protection), ensuring strict adherence to the programme and the client's quality standards. Key Responsibilities Managing site logistics, health & safety, and the daily workforce. QA management: Ensuring all finishing works (Drylining/Plastering/Facades) meet the "Golden Thread" of quality compliance. Liaising with the Main Contractor's management team to coordinate works. Reporting progress back to the visiting Contracts Manager. Conducting site inductions and Toolbox Talks. Requirements Essential: Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally with a background in Finishing, Drylining, or Facades. Essential: SMSTS, CSCS (Gold or Black Card), and First Aid. Essential: Strong eye for detail—this is a quality-focused role. Based in or easily commutable to West Sussex. What's on Offer £250 per day (Freelance).
