Microsoft Dynamics Developer – Chester, England
What will you do?
As a key member of our team, you will deliver and execute OPENLANE Remarketing Ltd Microsoft BC/NAV activities, collaborating with cross‑functional experts and other BC/NAV developers. Your responsibilities include validating technical requirements, scoping, planning, and designing suitable solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead BC/NAV system development and maintenance.
* Full lifecycle application development.
* Design, code, and debug applications in Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV.
* Uphold best‑practice design and code patterns.
* Perform code reviews.
* Coach and mentor junior team members.
* Investigate, analyze, and document reported defects.
* Maintain programming and correct identified defects.
* Collaborate closely with the business to translate requirements into working systems.
* Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and harnesses.
* Create and maintain technical documentation using defined templates.
* Evaluate, identify, and select appropriate new technologies for implementation.
Must Haves
* 2+ years of BC/NAV development experience in a commercial environment.
* 2+ years of GIT experience.
* Excellent C/Side or AL skills.
* Excellent understanding of core BC/NAV modules.
* Systems integration experience via RESTful and/or SOAP services.
* Excellent communication skills and a willingness to speak with the business.
Desirable Skills
* Cloud technologies (Azure and/or AWS).
* CI/CD pipeline.
* PowerShell.
* Azure DevOps.
* Salesforce.
* .NET.
* NAV/BC performance tuning.
* Experience with verticals such as Jet Analytics.
* Best‑practice code & architectural patterns.
* Commercial experience in the motor industry.
