Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Kitchen team as a Cook. We are friendly family run Pub and this role is ideal for someone with a background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The shift pattern will be
Week A Monday- Thursday 12pm until 8pm
Week B Friday - Sunday 12pm until 8pm
Two full weekends free a month
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen operations.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and presentation of meals.
* Participate in the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
* Support other team members in various kitchen tasks as needed, including serving when required.
* Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
* Culinary experience is highly desirable, particularly within a restaurant setting.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required.
* Experience in meal preparation and serving will be considered an advantage.
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
