Role Description
Advance Motors Vauxhall dealer based in Slough is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across our 6 branches. The role focuses on Employee Relations and HR administration, with opportunities to engage in training, development, coaching, and operational tasks.
We are looking for an energetic individual passionate about people management. The ideal candidate will have solid ER knowledge to handle various cases and contribute to multiple HR functions. This position offers a great chance to gain broader HR experience with strong support from colleagues.
Responsibilities:
1. Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, managing grievances, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and probation hearings.
2. Lead or attend employee relations meetings as required.
3. Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR issues to prevent escalation.
4. Handle escalated legal matters, including small claims or complex customer complaints involving external agencies.
5. Assist with payroll and rota management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
6. Support insurance procedures, including claims and investigations.
7. Maintain health & safety records and liaise with third-party safety agencies.
8. Coordinate facilities management, including maintenance scheduling.
Qualifications:
* HR and HR Management skills
* Experience developing and implementing HR policies
* Strong Employee Relations skills
* Proficiency in Job Description Development
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
* Experience in the automotive industry (a plus)
