Job Purpose
The HR Administrator will provide essential administrative and coordination support to the People team, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations. This role involves maintaining accurate employee records, managing HR documentation, supporting the recruitment process, coordinating training activities, and assisting with payroll and benefits administration. The HR Administrator will play a key role in ensuring compliance, supporting employees with queries, and contributing to excellent employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records on the HR system (HRIS).
* Prepare HR documentation including contracts, letters, and probation reviews.
* Support the recruitment process, including posting job adverts, coordinating interviews, and managing candidate correspondence.
* Assist with onboarding and induction of new employees.
* Track absence, holiday, and sickness records in line with company policy.
* Support payroll processes by providing accurate employee data and updates.
* Administer employee benefits and respond to queries in a timely manner.
* Provide first-line HR support to employees and escalate issues where appropriate.
* Coordinate training sessions and maintain training records.
* Ensure HR files and processes comply with GDPR and employment legislation.
* Provide general administrative support to the People team.
Skills/Qualifications
* Experience in an HR administrative role or similar is desirable.
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Familiarity with HR systems or databases (training will be provided).
* Good understanding of HR processes and basic employment law principles is an advantage.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Proactive approach to work with willingness to learn.
