JAB Accountancy Ltd is seeking a Part time Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant to join our team. This is a great chance to be part of a successful, growing practice. Our office, based in Belfast is an established and continually expanding practice with a focus on providing clients with a personalised service to help them achieve their goals
Essential Functions:
* Liaising with clients face to face, via phone and email
* Double Entry Bookkeeping
* Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
* Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
* Reconciling supplier and debtor accounts
* Helping prepare P&L accounts and balance sheets
* Contacting clients when work is due to ensure deadlines met
* Reviewing records and proactively following up on missing information
* Assisting in completion of VAT returns
* AD hoc work as required to facilitate operations (e.g migrating clients to software) and ensure digital compliance
* Due to continuing expansion and changing nature of this business it may be necessary to undertake other activities of a similar nature.
Skills & Abilities:
* Self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines.
* You must have a "can do" attitude and be able to work independently with appropriate support
* You should be proactive, motivated and willing to learn, with a problem-solving attitude.
* You should have the ability to multi-task, stay organised and manage your workload.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude with good attention to detail
* Most importantly you should be a team player
* Accounting Technician qualification desirable
* Experience in preparation and submission of accounts and VAT returns desirable
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 22 – 25 per week
