About The Role
We are looking for a Countryside Ranger to join our small team who ensure the implementation of practical work at the Council’s woodlands and informal open spaces across North Norfolk, maintaining them as high quality public spaces. The team are responsible for the day to day management of these sites for community recreation, nature conservation and forestry.
We are seeking an individual who is able to contribute to all areas of the service, including:
* practical woodland and conservation management
* dealing with the public
* looking after volunteers
* helping to deliver school, group, and family events
About You
In terms of experience required for this role, you will be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of practical experience, in addition to knowledge of woodland management.
You\'ll have a polite disposition, and the ability to problem solve and work on your own initiative.
As this role involves working with the public, you will be able to demonstrate customer service skills, and have experience of working with volunteers.
A flexible approach to working hours and access to transport is essential, as you will be required to work at various sites.
