Radleys Primary School
Site Manager – G5 / G6, dependant on experience (SCP 9-23 £27,254 to £34,434)
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Required from 1st June 2026 or before, if possible.
Due to the retirement of our much‑loved Site Manager, we are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, conscientious and self‑motivated person to join our team. Your role will be key to maintaining our school site, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community and being an integral part of our dedicated team.
Responsibilities
* Locking and unlocking the school and carrying out security checks on the building
* Carrying out and recording all checks, including maintaining all Health & Safety records for annual audits
* Maintenance of the school property and grounds, including liaising with contractors
* Monitoring site stock and ordering supplies
* Experience of DIY and the ability to carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating competently
* Ideally, you will possess a recognised trade qualification (please specify)
* Attending any job‑related training courses, as required
* Undertaking cleaning duties, whilst managing the school cleaning team
* Supporting staff to safeguard the gate at opening and closing time, to welcome and dismiss pupils
The candidate should have a good sense of humour and be able to interact well with staff, parents and pupils. Previous experience of a similar nature or trade is essential. The successful candidate will be required to act as a key holder.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday (term time): 6.30am – 10.00am and 2.00pm – 6pm (Friday’s 6.30‑9.30am).
Holiday’s Monday to Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm, Friday 8.00am – 3.00pm (times can be flexible as long as they meet the requirements of school).
