Job Title

Barchester Healthcare are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrator to join their team and contribute to the efficient running of a high-quality care home. This varied position encompasses managing customer experience elements, HR, recruitment, payroll, finance, and supervising junior members of the administration team.

Responsibilities:

* Promote a warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
* Manage enquiries and showrounds of the home for prospective families, including managing the customer database appropriately to support commercial performance and conversion of enquiries for the home.
* Drive occupancy and reputation of the Care Home as part of a community engagement team.
* Support resident and family feedback with a focus on customer care.
* Assist with the recruitment of home staff, completing employment new starter checks and arranging inductions.
* Payscale preparation for home-based staff.
* Provide advice and guidance to employees on queries using the HR tools and resources available.
* Ensure that all personal files are stored securely.
* Attend meetings and produce accurate notes and minutes where required.
* Ensure all rotas are complete.
* Manage safe contents, petty cash, and resident fund accounts.
* Update ad-hoc training, supervisions, and appraisals on staff records.
* Offer guidance on staff development opportunities including signposting to Apprenticeships and qualifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Previous involvement in HR administration and recruitment.
* High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
* Proficient user of Microsoft-specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* CIPD qualification beneficial.
