Responsibilities
* Lead requirements analysis and produce technical design solutions for large and complex software programmes.
* Develop high-quality Oracle Application Express applications using efficient, reusable and maintainable code.
* Write and maintain complex server‑side Procedural Language (PL/SQL) extensions for data validation, integration and import/export processes.
* Apply technical expertise to evaluate options, assess risk and recommend optimal solutions.
* Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to continuously improve digital capability.
Requirements
Full‑time role, 35 hours per week, based at Bristol Technology Centre, Stoke Gifford, Bristol or Leicester, Leicestershire. Set working times: 7:30 am‑3:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00 am‑12:00 pm Friday. Hybrid working patterns are available; minimum two days onsite per week.
* Proven experience developing web‑based applications using Oracle Application Express.
* Strong competence in PL/SQL, including complex server‑side development.
* Working knowledge of JavaScript within enterprise applications.
* A disciplined and methodical approach to configuration and change control.
* Motivation to take ownership of professional development; Oracle‑related certifications or relevant software engineering qualifications are advantageous.
