WordPress Developer – Lincolnshire (Hybrid)

We are working with an award-winning digital agency to recruit a talented WordPress Developer to join their growing technical team in Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of digital projects, including large-scale WordPress websites, bespoke Laravel platforms and innovative AI-driven solutions. You’ll work closely with designers, developers and digital strategists to build scalable, high-performing websites and digital experiences for a broad client base.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain and support modern WordPress websites
* Build custom WordPress themes and bespoke functionality
* Integrate and manage third-party APIs and services
* Contribute to AI-powered features, automation tools and internal platforms
* Collaborate with designers to deliver responsive, pixel-perfect front-end experiences
* Write clean, modular and well-documented code
* Support ongoing improvements, maintenance and optimisation across projects
* Contribute to technical decisions and development best practices
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong commercial experience in WordPress development
* Strong experience with custom WordPress themes, ACF, Gutenberg and bespoke functionality development
* Experience with PHP/Laravel or similar frameworks
* Strong understanding of REST APIs and integrations
* JavaScript experience, ideally with Vue.js or Alpine.js
* Experience using Git and modern deployment workflows
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Desirable Skills
* Experience with AI integrations and automation tools
* Knowledge of search technologies such as Algolia or Meilisearch
* Understanding of headless CMS architectures
* WooCommerce or ecommerce integration experience
* Familiarity with Tailwind, Vite or Docker
