Job Description
About the role:
Let’s talk numbers. When it comes to UK retail, it’s hard to find a bigger name. We sell thousands of items an hour and are expanding our e-commerce business by the second. For anyone in Tech, this is the place to learn. To grow. And to thrive.
Stock & Pricing are pivotal to ensuring our fantastic products are always available, both in our stores and for online customers. S&P support our Merchandisers by making sure that the right stock is in the right place across our UK high street, Lipsy, our international franchise stores and for our online customers. They do all of this whilst working to modernise our solutions onto new technologies and redesigning our complex legacy systems into modern new architecture. In retail today, few areas of expertise are as important as this.
The successful applicant will work on the development and support of our systems, whilst helping maintain and support our other mainframe applications. The role involves all aspects of the development lifecycle and requires flexible and innovative individuals with a positive attitude.
You will provide analysis and programming skills in core languages, and gather user requirements and produce sustainable and efficient solutions following Agile methodologies. You will design, code, maintain and support business critical systems which are used 24/7, 365 days a year. You’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office. A fast-paced, encouraging and supportive environment in which everyone brings an energy and a commitment to delivering for our customers and their own careers. Bring your energy. Play to your strengths. Make things bigger and better than before. Let’s Take It On.
About you:
You will be able to speak, read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role, for example, to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members.
