Sales Executive

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Sales Executive with experience in the gas and chemical industry, or another technical B2B sector. You will focus on generating new business, building strong relationships, and developing long‑term partnerships that support our growth. You’ll work closely with the Commercial Director, identifying opportunities, engaging with decision‑makers, and introducing our product portfolio. Success will come from proactive prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals that deliver long‑term value.
Key Responsibilities
* Report directly to the Commercial Director and support sales strategy execution
* Prospect and onboard new clients, ensuring smooth handover into ongoing relationships
* Manage and nurture a sales pipeline with consistent follow‑up
* Understand customer needs and market trends to position products effectively
* Negotiate and close deals that balance growth and profitability
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions
* Conduct regular client site visits to strengthen relationships
* Participate in a shared rota to provide limited out‑of‑hours client support
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in gases, chemicals, or technical industries
* Track record of winning new business and introducing products into new accounts
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship skills
* Organised and disciplined approach to managing a pipeline
* Self‑motivated, with ability to work independently and within a team
* Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
* Full UK driver’s license required
