Technical Sales Executive - Platform Lifts. Job Type: Permanent. Location: Essex - commutable Chelmsford, Clacton, Sudbury, Hadleigh, Colchester, Braintree, Ipswich. Post Code: CO5 0SX. Salary: £30,000 basic, £45,000 OTE, Car, Pension. Start Date: ASAP.
We are looking to fill a new job opening for a Technical Sales Executive - Platform Lifts in Essex. Prior lift industry experience is not essential, but solid B2B sales experience is, we would ideally like someone with a background in technical sales of high value capital equipment.
Responsibilities
* Manage incoming and outgoing enquiries efficiently, providing timely and high-quality responses.
* Review and qualify enquiries to identify genuine opportunities.
* Keep the CRM system fully updated, ensuring all sales activities, leads, and opportunities are accurately recorded.
* Follow up on leads, meetings, proposals, and quotations promptly to maximise conversion rates.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, consultants, and contractor partners.
* Build a strong understanding of the company's lift products, systems, and technical solutions.
* Collaborate with internal departments to deliver accurate proposals, pricing, and technically sound solutions to customers.
* Coordinate with the supply chain and customers to ensure a smooth, high-standard service throughout the sales process.
* Represent the business professionally during meetings, presentations, and industry-focused events.
* Achieve agreed sales revenue targets.
Qualifications & Skills
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ideally have previous experience in lift industry sales, though this is not essential.
* A solid background in technical sales with the ability to understand and communicate technical solutions confidently.
* Able to work independently, manage workload effectively, and remain composed under pressure.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients and colleagues.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Committed to delivering outstanding customer service and fully understanding client needs in relation to our products and solutions.
* Competent using Microsoft Office and confident working with CRM systems and associated digital tools.
* Demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to achieving results.
Role Location & Requirements
The role will suit individuals currently working as Sales Executive, Technical Sales Engineer, Account Manager, Business Development Manager and be living within a commutable distance of Essex, Chelmsford, Clacton-on-Sea, Sudbury, Hadleigh, Colchester, Braintree, Ipswich or be willing to relocate.
