Role: Quality Manager (Projects)
Location: Hybrid working - site in Ipswich (2/3 days per week)
Rate: £450 P/day OUTSIDE IR35
Duration: 6 months initial with view to extend
Rullion are currently supporting a major Energy Engineering company in their search for a Quality Manager to support one of their long-term projects.
Role Summary
The role of the QMiP (Quality Manager in Projects) is to advise the Project Director / Senior Project Manager in expediting quality assurance on the project(s). The QMiP is also responsible for managing and/or monitoring the quality resource on the project. The QMiP is the subject matter expert and should assist in planning all key quality activities across the project lifecycle.
It is important that the QMiP has the authority to intervene at any stage if proceedings could negatively impact the project. The QMiP reports directly to the Senior Project Manager and/or the Project Director, acting as a member of the core project management team. Regarding functional matters, the reporting line also extends to the subdivisional or divisional Head of Quality of the related business (HQ).
Experience
1. Substantial experience (typically 5 years) in a senior operational quality role, such as a Quality Manager working in a project office environment.
2. Significant experience dealing at all levels across projects.
3. Extensive experience working in highly regulated industries.
4. Proven experience working in a matrix organization supporting the delivery of large infrastructure projects.
