My client are a leading energy solution provider that are looking to onboard a Site Manager to an ongoing energy infrastructure package being delivered in Colchester. Site manager responsibilities: * Day to day management of site operatives, subcontractors and site work. * Development and implementation of safety documentation including construction phase plans, site quality plans and risk assessments / method statements. * Undertake inspections, Carry out site inductions, Toolbox Talks & Daily Briefings. * Prepare daily SSoW and put people to work. * Produce & maintain Site Specific Risk & Method Statements. * Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks. * Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations. * Communicate effectively with the contractors. * Attend weekly progress meetings. * Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction. * Ensure quality control measures are implemented throughout the project. * Maintain a high standard of documentation and records of project. activities/labour including a site dairy. Site manager requirements: * Right to work in the UK. * Desirable to already hold SSE authorisation of minimum CAT1C. * Must have SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS, Temporary Works Co-Ordinator & Supervisor. * Competency to work in substations 66kV to 400kV inclusive. * Knowledge of current legislation relating to health, safety and environment. * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. * Ability to work within budget and to programme timescales. * Ability to work within a team environment including clients, designers, H&S advisers, site staff, quantity surveyor and estimators. * IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. * Full driving licence. * Must be prepared to travel and work away at customer sites.
