About The Role
You will be responsible for day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring the project remains on schedule, meets quality standards, and operates within strict health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
* Operational management of the site.
* Maintain and enforce a strict Health and Safety culture on site.
* Conduct daily briefings, site inductions, tool‑box talks, and ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
* Oversee and manage sub‑contractors and direct labour to meet the construction programme and mitigate delays.
* Conduct regular quality inspections, manage the snagging process, and ensure all work is completed to Lovells quality standards and NHBC requirements.
* Oversee all on‑site logistics, including material deliveries, plant, and site security.
* Act as the main point of contact for the Project/Contracts Manager, sub‑contractors, and any other external parties.
* Maintain accurate daily site diaries and progress reports.
Requirements
* Essential: Proven experience as a Site Manager on new‑build residential housing developments.
* Valid SMSTS, CSCS Card (ideally Black Card) and First Aid at Work Certificate.
* Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including CDM regulations.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
