Key accountabilities:
* Review and develop HR processes in line with employment law and best practices, ensuring effective communication across the organisation.
* Lead on Wellbeing initiatives.
* Drive performance through HR.
* Design, develop, and maintain HR policies.
* Oversee recruitment processes, including during organisational change, supporting staff accordingly.
* Chair HR-related forums and meetings such as HR Strategy and Staff Consultative Groups.
* Collaborate with finance and operational managers to maximise operational and financial value through HR.
* Support senior managers and directors in developing the organisation's establishment and managing recruitment within budgets.
* Attend meetings and hearings, advising on management reports and correspondence per PDSE procedures.
* Assess options, advise, and support managers in employee relation cases from investigation to appeals.
* Participate in meetings with staff, managers, and staff representatives, ensuring thorough note-taking and record-keeping.
* Analyze sickness absence data, ensuring effective management processes are followed.
* Maintain knowledge of employment law and adapt to changing practices.
* Lead and deliver HR and organisational projects.
* Handle complex issues independently, developing creative solutions.
* Support administrative functions, managing documentation, databases, and HR software.
* Address other HR or business needs as required.
