We are currently working in partnership with a growing alternative provision in Bournemouth, offering a unique and forward-thinking approach to education. This provision is committed to re-engaging students who have faced barriers in mainstream settings, supporting them through a holistic, therapeutic and highly personalised curriculum.

About the Role
This is not your typical classroom-based role. As a Learning Mentor, you will:
* Support students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
* Build strong, trusting relationships to positively impact engagement and wellbeing
* Deliver and support physical education and outdoor-based learning, using sport as a tool to improve mental health and resilience
* Work with students both on-site and off-site, requiring flexibility and adaptability
* Act as a positive role model, helping students develop life skills, confidence and independence

* Small group and 1:1 support

* A strong emphasis on physical activity, wellbeing and emotional development

The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
* Background in roles such as Sports Coaching, Youth Work, Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Support or similar
* Passion for using sport and physical activity to support mental health and engagement
* Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills
* Full UK driving licence (essential, due to off-site work)
* Resilient, proactive and committed to making a lasting impact
